Strep throat (AE), also Streptococcal pharyngitis or
Streptococcal Sore Throat is a form of Group A streptococcal
infection that affects the pharynx. Symptom include severe sore
throat, yellow and white patches in the throat, difficulty
swallowing,
tender cervical lymphadenopathy, red and enlarged tonsils,
halitosis, fever of 38°C (101F) or greater, rash, frequent cold
chills, absence of cough, white spots on tonsils and desquamation
