Foods which may cause or help prevent constipation.
In addition to eating habits you'll also want to know which foods you should and shouldn't ingest. Keep in mind the following:

A) FOODS TO AVOID:

All sweets, especially candy and soda.
Sterilized milk.
Don't eat rice. Substitute with wheat instead.
All fried foods.
Coffee or tea.
Hot spices.
Tobacco.
Gas causing foods such as beans, cabbage, broccoli & cauliflower.

B) FOODS THAT MAY HELP:

High fiber fresh fruits and veggies, whole wheat, oatmeal & bran.
Soaked or stewed prunes.
Water. Try to drink between 1/2 gallon to one full gallon each day.
Whole grain bread & cereals.
Apples, as many as you can throughout the day.
Bale fruit - a great natural laxative and it cleans up your intestines.

 It's not just 'what you eat,' it's 'how you eat it.'


Make note of any bad eating habits you have and make the appropriate adjustments

Try to follow these guidelines:

A) Don't hurry while you're eating. Chew food slowly and thoroughly. Wait until your food has been swallowed all the way into your stomach before taking the next bite. This will help keep you from overeating.

B) Don't eat too much in one sitting. This will only make your constipation feel even worse. Instead of having fewer big meals, consider having more frequent smaller meals.

C) Allow at least 4 hours between meals.

E) Keep your meals simple. Don't mix too many different foods in one meal.

F) Eat more fresh foods, less processed ones.

G) Make sure your food is easily digestible.

I) Have a glass of warm milk before sleep. This may provide constipation relief by the next morning.

J) In severe constipation cases, mix a glass of milk with 2 teaspoons of castor oil.

A) Move your body to help prevent constipation.
Do anything to avoid being sedentary. When your body does not move or exercise at all, your insides may replicate this, thusly contributing to constipation.
