The effect of diet on body odor.

Dietary considerations.
Your diet does have an affect on the way you smell. The smell of strong scented foods or drinks can literally seep out of your skin pores. Consider the following suggestions:

A) Cut down or eliminate the use of garlic and onions or other pungent foods. Not only will these contribute to bad breath, but the smell can also literally be sweated away later.

B) Eat more vegetables, fruits and grains and cut down on oils, proteins and fats.

C) Consider a one-day body detoxification once a week. During this day only eat fruit and only drink juice or water. Your body will flush out all the 'yucky' smell producing gunk. NOTE: If you are diabetic or on prescription medication, this option should be avoided.

D) Foods to avoid. Hot spicy foods such as chili or red hot pepper should be avoided because they make you sweat more. Other foods and substances to stay away from include caffeinated beverages, products using white flour or hydrogenated oils and processed foods.

 Let's discuss armpit odor.

Take care of armpit odor.
Applying baking soda can minimize odor. Alcohol, white vinegar and apple cider vinegar are also said to do wonders for pit odor. Always carry around & (when necessary) wear deodorant (which masks the smell you already have) and antiperspirant (which helps prevent sweat). Spend money for good high quality ones - you generally get what you pay for. Waxing your armpits is also said to help.

 What about foot odor?

Take care of foot odor.
Applying baking soda can minimize odor. Wash your feet regularly and always wear socks, preferably made of cotton. Replace socks during the day if excess sweating has occurred. In the summer wear sandals whenever possible.

Helpful odor reducing supplements & minerals.

Help your body odor with supplements and minerals. Consider adding the following to your diet regimen:

A) Chlorophyll is one of the best natural deodorants and anti-oxidants available. It is known to cleanse your body 'from the inside out.'

B) Lactobacillus acidophilus eliminates bacteria which may produce body odor and aids in digestion.

C) Zinc. This has been found deficient in people prone to chronic body odor. Consider using with Magnesium, which helps zinc work better.

D) Vitamin-B Complex helps remove waste from the body.

Sage. The natural herbal remedy for body odor?

Use the herb Sage to your benefit.
Sage is a popular natural antiperspirant. Drinking sage tea daily will minimize the amount of sweat your body produces. Sage oil (when diluted) can be applied directly on your body and used as a wash except on your genitals and face area.

 Also keep in mind ...

A) Always wear clean clothes.
Do not wear the same clothes day after day. In addition try not to wear tight fitting clothes - stick with loose fitting fabrics such as silk, wool, linen or cotton. Change clothes as often as needed throughout the day. Not only will you smell better but you'll also feel cleaner.

B) You can't go wrong with a clean colon. Consider a colon cleanse. A good colon cleanse kit is an inexpensive way to clear out toxins and be/feel healthier (and probably make you smell better too).

C) Finally, take a bath or shower at least once a day, or more often if you sweat (in the summer?) or are more prone to body odor.
